Artist Spotlight: Marko Manev

Marko Manev is a Macedonian freelance artist.  He’s done work for numerous high profile clients, including Marvel, Wizards of the Coast, Mondo, and Bottleneck Gallery.  His body of work is great, and the Star Wars pieces I’ll be showing here comprise only a small portion of that.  He has a very unique minimalist style, and is perhaps most well known for his “Noir” prints.  I got all of these images from Marko’s site, I urge you to take a look there if you like his Star Wars work.

Tidbit

-I actually own a great deal of Manev’s work.  I picked up “Bounty Hunter” when it was first offered at NYCC, and I picked up the noir variants of those last four pieces when they recently went up for sale.  At least for Vader, I actually prefer the color variant, but I figured it would be good to have a unified display with “Bounty Hunter.”

-I also own the movie triptych Marko did.  I’ve had them in frames for a while, but never could find the wall space.  Since I just picked up the noir set, I’m actually thinking I might just sell them.  If you want them, they’re yours for $150 and shipping.

-Its selection is limited, but Manev has a store here.  He also has a  Facebook page here.
